Epic Training Components: Learning Plans

There are several components to Epic training (referred to as a Learning Plan). Please review the table below to understand what this means for you:

Component of Epic Training	Definition	To whom does this apply?	What is required?
Attestation Question	An e-learning module that describes the terms of attesting out of Epic training.	Individuals who have equivalent Epic experience at an approved healthcare organization. See criteria.	Complete the online module, including signing off the attestation. This can be done *without* Unity Health login credentials.
Recommended E-Learnings Before Class	E-learning modules that can be completed virtually and asynchronously prior to any instructor–led training	All learners are strongly encouraged to complete the Before Class, prior to instructor–led training	Complete the online modules. This can be done *without* Unity Health login credentials.
Asynchronous Virtual Training	Asynchronous – virtual Learners will complete their training virtually, at a location and time of their convenience. Computer space is available on-site at Unity for those who require/wish it.	All learners	Complete the online modules. This can be done *without* Unity Health login credentials.
Asynchronous Virtual Training
End User Proficiency Assessment (EUPA)	EUPA is a multiple-choice assessment/quiz of knowledge of the new Epic system. Staff, physicians and learners who are exempted from training can proceed directly to the EUPA.	All learners must obtain a minimum of 80% on the EUPA after a maximum of two attempts to be granted access to Epic.	This can be done *without* Unity Health login credentials.
User Settings Lab	User Setting Labs allows you to learn how to personalize the system to their needs.	All learners who have completed ALL required Epic training and pass the EUPA, must complete an Epic User Settings Lab	You will need a Unity Health computer login and FortiToken to complete the User Settings Lab.
Mandatory e-learning	Mandatory e-learnings provide foundational knowledge that will help you learn how to perform key workflows and navigate the Epic workspace proficiently.	All learners must complete the assigned mandatory e-learning	This can be done *without* Unity Health login credentials.
Supplementary e-learning	Supplementary e-learnings are not mandatory but recommended to compliment mandatory, foundational learning. In these e-learnings you will learn more about specialty workflows and increase your knowledge and efficiency within Epic.	All learners are recommended to complete supplementary e-learning.	This can be done *without* Unity Health login credentials.
Feedback	An online, multiple choice evaluation of the Epic Training	All learners who complete Epic training are strongly encouraged to complete the evaluation of their experience with the training.	This can be done *without* Unity Health login credentials.
