Troubleshooting

If you are no longer able to gain entry to spaces you had before, check the expiry date on your badge. If your ID badge is still valid, it could be that your white security access card has gone dormant or been expired by the system. Please call the Student Centre at ext. 5700 and make sure you have your white access card number handy (you will be asked to give the first 5 digits on the white card, not your picture ID).

Once you get your hospital ID badge, you will be given your username and temporary password. Log into a computer on site in order to change your password.

Before you log in, make sure your placement/rotation has been confirmed first by the Student Centre. Once confirmed, you will receive instructions on how to get your ID badge and username.

You will need to use FortiToken (Two-factor authentication) to access your email off site. See here for more information.

FortiToken emails expire after 7 days. Please contact Help Desk for a new FortiToken at 416-864-5751 or ext. 5751.

You accounts may still be active if your ID badge is still valid AND you have logged in within the last 8 weeks.

If your badge is still valid but you haven’t logged in within 8 weeks, then your accounts will have gone dormant. Call Help Desk at 416-864-5751 or ext.5751.

If your ID badge is expired, then you will need to submit a new placement in the Student Registration System.

For postgraduate medical learners, a new academic session starts on July 1st. If you do not submit a new placement with the Student Centre, then your access will expire on this date.

Remember to complete your registration with us to avoid this issue. If this does happen, contact the Student Centre.

Call the Student Centre 416-864-5700 or ext. 5700

Students may only be placed/complete rotations at Unity Health Toronto where there is a current Academic Affiliation Agreement between Unity Health Toronto and the student’s educational institution. If you wish to arrange a placement at Unity Health Toronto please contact your school’s placement coordinator.
